For those that don’t sew, you might not realise that fabrics are released by designers in collections of coordinating patterns or prints. Like this one for example (one of my all time favourites) ‘Delilah’ by the ever talented Tanya Whelan

I have to admit, the talented work of these designers and the beautiful coordinating collections that they produce, makes choosing & coordinating fabrics easier for us WAHM’s. Having said that, one of my favourite things to do is combine different collections, by different designers into a beautiful mish mash of prints. This is the best way to create a truly unique combination and avoid being accused of the dreaded ‘C’ word which taints the crafty world. With the millions of fabrics available for you to play with, if you do work outside the confines a given collection, it is highly unlikely you will choose the exact same fabric combination as someone else, and it makes cheeky copycats much easier to spot!
However, as you can see by the range above there are usually enough beautiful prints with any collection to create your own beautiful combination of ideas, fabrics & trims unique to you and that is what the following clever crafty mummas have done. So here are a few of my esteemed peers, celebrating pretty and celebrating Delilah by Tanya Whelan, each in their own way!
